Connection to Land - Yothu Yindi

Yothu Yindi is one of Australia's most important rock bands. The band is made up of Indigeous musicians from Arnhem Land, in the Northern Territory, and balanda (non-Indigenous) musicians. "Yothu Yindi" means "Child and mother" in Yolngu, the language of the Yolngu people.

The original band members are:
- Mr. M. Yunupingu: leader, and vocals and guitar
- Dr. G. Yunupingu: keyboards, guitar and percussion
- Stuart Kellaway: bass guitar
- Witiyana Marika: manikay (traditional vocals), bilma (ironwood clapsticks) and dance
- Cal Williams: lead (main) guitar
- Milkayngu Mununggurr: yidaki (didjeridu)
- Andrew Belletty: drums
